Outreach & Extension Services
A large number of hearing impaired living in rural, far–flung and remote areas do not get the attention, that the hearing impaired living in urban areas get. With the aim of making available the services – diagnosis, fitment, counselling and creating awareness, an Outreach and Extension Service Department was created and launched in the year 1989.
Since then, a team of multi–professionals armed with diagnostic equipment and fitment aids, provide services by camping in rural and far flung areas – right from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. In addition, they also provide guidance to the interested local NGO's of the rural areas, in setting up service centres, pre–schools, vocational training centres, etc.
GOs/NGOs/Schools can avail our outreach and extension services by filling up the
Pre–programme Questionnaire(PDF file that opens in a new window) and sending it to us through District Collector/District Magistrate.
