Objectives of the Project

To study gynaecological problems of women with disabilities Progress of the Project - 332 women’s with disabilities are being studied out of which 29 have reported. It was decided to analyse the limited data and report to be submitted by October, 2017.

Objectives of the Project –To determine incidence of hearing loss in the states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim and Odisha with respect to gender, type of hearing loss, degree of hearing loss. To determine the various causes of hearing loss.

Progress of the Project

  • Theproforma for data collection was validated
  • The validated proforma was sent to all the co-investigators for data collection
  • The data was collected at AYJNISHD(D), SRC and AYJNISHD(D), Janla, Bhubaneshwar.
  • The data included retrospective examination of all the files of the patients visiting SRC and Janla centres in the year 2016. The data from other 2 centres (HQ and Sikkim) yet to be obtained. The data from AYJNISHD(D), SRC and AYJNISHD(D), Janla is submitted
  • Development of test of Reading Comprehension in Bengali

Objectives of the Project –

  • To select story based text and General text
  • To develop test questions
  • To develop scoring and interpretation strategies

Progress of the project -

  • Selection of test items in the area of reading comprehension and validation of the same.
  • Test material is developed in all three levels in laminated format.
  • Data collection was done in all three ;levels from regular and special schools with total population of 270 and 250 respectively.
  • Scoring and tabulation of data of both regular and special school has been completed. Data of level A has been analyzed.
  • 40% of test manual has been developed.

Dissertations

Research is undertaken every year by the MASLP and M.Ed (HI) students for their dissertation as a part fulfilment of the course. The dissertation work in the area of Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology and Special Education is being taken up by the students.
