NATIONAL DISABILITY INFORMATION HELPLINE SERVICE (NDIHS)

National Disability Information Helpline Service (NDIHS) is an initiative of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. NDIHS is a telephonic information line service to provides information on 21 disabilities as per the RPwD Act 2016.

Disability-related information on Causes, Prevention, Diagnosis, Intervention/Treatment, Aids & Appliances, UDID services, Education, Employment, Service providers list, Government Schemes & Concessions are available in NDIHS which is accessible round the clock through the telephone as it is an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). Service of a Call attendant is available during working hours. Information can be obtained in English and Hindi Language. NDIHS can be accessed from any part of India by calling the 14456 number. Facility of Indian Sign Language Interpreter is also available in NDIHS.
